Hi, gang! I just saw a movie that is well on its way to becoming my All Time Favorite Sci-Fi film.

It's called "Moon." Website: http://www.sonypictures.com/classics/moon/

Don't read the taglines and trailers and spoilers. All you need to know about this movie is that it's GREAT--in the True Science Fiction sense. It's thoughty, speculative, and doesn't mistake "great special effects" for "great sci fi."

If you took Harlan Ellison, Arthur C. Clarke, and Stanislaw Lem, put them in a room, made them watch "2001" and "Sniper 470," then gave them a single typewriter and said, "OK, guys, come up with something like that..." "Moon" could be that movie. Yeah, it's THAT good.

Nuts. I just got this email from an anonymous spy:

Just watched the documentary "Confessions of a Superhero" (released 2007) which profiles several of the Hollywood Blvd. characters. It was a brief cameo, but there was a scene where she's dressed as Fiona, talking to a cop, and the cop asks "So where's Jordan?" and then suddenly I remembered reading about what happened with those two. Crazy, I know! Thought you might like to know...

I did look up the ISP from the comment and it was, in fact, from Chesapeake, Virginia, so "he" may be telling the truth about being home.

It'll be interesting to see how this one comes out. I hope "he" really has turned over a new leaf. Not counting on it, but I'll play along for now. Even using the masculine pronoun for the moment, just to be nominally respectful if this really is true.

Opinions? I KNOW you have them...

Boy, just after I posted a message saying I hadn't heard anything about Those Two in ages...I get an email with this link. If you scroll down to the bottom of the journal, you'll see a couple of familiar faces. As far as I can tell, the photo was taken on either Jan. 6 or 13.
